Deborah Ann Williamson, LVNDeborah Ann Williamson is a member of the Board of Directors of Cutting Edge Foundation. She graduated from the Kenwood Academy High School in Chicago, Illinois. She attended Minneapolis Area Vocational Technical Institute and became licensed as a Practical Nurse in 1983 and is licensed in Minnesota, Illinois, and Texas. Her occupation and work experience started in the health care field at the age of 15 in Dixon, Illinois, as a Teachers Aid at the Dixon Developmental Center which served mentally retarded and/or physically handicapped people of all ages. She has worked in geriatrics over a ten year period and became a Licensed Practical Nurse during that time. She has worked in home health nursing and hospice care in Corpus Christi, Texas and worked at the Werkok Memorial Hospital for a few months in 2006, going to Werkok, Sudan three times that year. During this time the hospital was progressing towards opening; Drs. Bert and Mike were coming with teams of MD’s and nurses and were searching for permanent doctors and medical staff for the hospital. Her Christian walk has been as follows: Attending St. James Lutheran Church in Forreston, Illinois in childhood, she was born again (John 3: 3-8) in a Minneapolis church in 1985. After moving to Corpus Christi, she attended Peaceful Holiness Church, in Kingsville, Texas 1989 – 1990. Member Corpus Christi Christian Fellowship since 1990; she has worked in the office as a volunteer, involved in choir, keyboardist in the past. She is presently part of an email/prayer chain through her church. She has assisted in “Helps Ministry” and is currently part of a Good News Club through Corpus Christi Christian Fellowship. She has been to Ghana with a team from Corpus Christi Christian Fellowship; was able to go with the Cutting Edge Foundation team in conjunction with Partners in Compassionate Care, to help choose a site for the Werkok Christian Memorial Hospital in May 2004 and looks forward to going to the Guinebor II Hospital near N’Djamena, Chad. |
