Robert “Skip” PiotrskiBuilding and Development CommitteeSkip was born in Louisville, Kentucky, December 15th, 1953, attended school in Louisville, and graduated from high school in 1971. In November 1971, Skip entered the U.S. Army, served in Manheim, Germany, for 2 years, and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant in November 1974. He returned to Louisville, and worked for his father, a plastering and drywall contractor, until 1977. In late 1977, Skip started his own general contracting business, Dial One Pleasure Valley Construction, Inc., that he operates to date as a residential, and commercial building company.
Skip is very active in his church, St. Mark’s United Church of Christ in New Albany, Indiana; serving on the church council; finishing his third 3-year term this coming January as chairman of the Trustees.
With a compassionate heart for those less fortunate, Skip has served six years as construction chairman for the local chapter of Habitat for Humanity; co-chairman of his church’s Repair Affair outreach for the past four years.
Skip and his wife Stephanie reside on a 70-acre country “Retreat Center” locally known as Poplar Hill Farm.
When not engaged with the business, church activities, or mission work, Skip enjoys big game hunting, fishing, scuba diving, and traveling with his wife.
