Dr. McMahon is the Secretary/Treasurer of Cutting Edge Foundation.  He graduated from Colonial Heights High School with honors in 1967.  He also graduated with honors form VPI in 1971 and MCV in 1975 with honors.  He is a member of AMA, AAFP, and CMDA.  He is board certified in Family Practice and Tropical Medicine.

His work experience is as follows: He was a member of the United States Air Force as a physician from 1978 – 1980 and has been in practice of Family Practice in Pearisburg, Virginia since leaving the US Air Force.

His Christian affiliation has been with the First United Methodist Church of Rich Creek where he teaches Adult Sunday School and is a Lay Speaker.

His Christian Mission experience is as follows: He has been involved with two trips to Russia with Josh McDowell Ministries in 1999 and 2000.  He also went to Cameroon at the Hospital de Miskene with Medical Centers of West Africa in August, 2000 with World Medical Mission.  He has also been on multiple trips to Moldova with CMDA.  He has also been to Chad and multipe trips to Werkok, Sudan.
